Inaugural Shenzhen event
After six months of planning, the first NZGBA Network event took place at Craft Head Brewing Co. in Futian, Shenzhen.
About us
A practical New Zealand–GBA network
NZGBA Network brings together community, business exchange, events and local participation for New Zealanders and New Zealand-linked organisations in the Greater Bay Area.
Our purpose
Our purpose is to strengthen useful, long-term connections between New Zealand and the Greater Bay Area. We help people meet, share local knowledge, participate in events and identify practical pathways for engagement.
We aim to be approachable enough for community members and practical enough for businesses, importers, eCommerce sellers and organisations working across the region.
Who the network is for
- New Zealanders living, working or studying in the GBA
- New Zealand-connected professionals, founders and businesses
- Importers and eCommerce sellers engaging with South China
- Friends of New Zealand, cultural groups and community partners
How we operate
NZGBA Network is independently operated. The network is not a government body, diplomatic mission or chamber of commerce.
Community participation is separate from any paid commercial support. Partnerships, sponsorships and any specialist work are communicated transparently and agreed separately.

Meeting with the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association
NZGBA Network met with the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association to discuss cross-border e-commerce, New Zealand–GBA business connections and possible future exchange.

A relaxed community gathering is planned in Shenzhen for New Zealanders, New Zealand-connected people and friends of New Zealand.

NZGBA Network is assisting with the New Zealand section and inviting suitable New Zealand businesses, products, brands and cultural showcases to get involved.
